Day 111

It’s Day 111 of the race. From the map, it appears that Rich is heading northwest rather than east. Most likely this is because of the weather patterns at sea. From his post on the Vendee Globe site, it appears that he has had some difficult conditions to sail in.

I just finished printing out small birthday cards that the students made for Mrs. Wilson. I’ve also printed out the Science.Net links article about Alaska where she is featured and the sitesALIVE post where Rich writes about her adventurous spirit. She’ll be pleased to receive these articles and cards as she patiently awaits for the safe arrival of her son back on land. It’s been a long voyage!!!

Children of the World

Here is my classroom bulletin board of children of the world. The children are from A Coruna, Galicia; Singapore, China, the Philippines, Japan and the US. These are special children in my friends’ lives. These are children in my school. They inspire me and make me smile.
