  1. Thanks for stopping by Bill! This is my first attempt at creating a blog. I have been following the voyages of Skipper Rich Wilson with my students since 2001 when Rich sailed from NY to Melbourne in attempt to break the record of the clipper ship, the Mandarin, that sailed in the days of the Australian Gold Rush. This year Rich is the only US compeitor sailing around the world in the Vendee Globe. I am posting brief entries of activities that I’ve been doing with my students as he participates in the amazing journey. http://www.twitter.com/Rich_Wilson I look forward to learning more about blogging through the 31 day challenge.

  2. Hi Lorraine,
I too am doing the 31 challenge and I am keen to explore other blogs and strategies for commenting. I like the concept of this blog and found it interesting to see what content I could find.
I see that the comment function in edublogs is quite secure.
Love the Ocean Mist theme too.

  3. Hi Lorraine,

I’m new to blogging and I think the comment you made on http://wecanworkitout.edublogs.org/ is amazing.

“I’ve learned more from reading people’s blogs and following their links, than in any professional development classes that I’ve had recently”.

I’m curious, what is it about blogging that makes learning so meaningful for you?

I love the image in your theme.

  4. Hi Lorraine,
I like all the multimedia clips you have in your blog. It makes it much more interactive for the readers. If nothing else, I’m enjoying the 31 Day Challenge because I’ve found some really neat blogs I didn’t know about before!

  5. Hi Lorraine,
While I’m not a long distance sailor, I love the sense of adventure that your blog has about Rich Wilson’s endeavors.
I love physical challenges, but I could never see myself in a yacht by myself, sailing around the world.
Good luck in the 31 Day Challenge.

  6. Thanks for stopping by our blog. Yours is fantastic and will be stopping by often! Blogging is still new to me, so it’s great to get ideas from others and see what’s out there!
