Light the Candles in 2012!

We are excited that the ‘Light the Candles’ map is looking brighter each day. IF you would like to add your candle to the map, you are welcome!

Light The Candles All Around the World!

Fourth graders, under the direction of our music teacher, Miss Caitlin Taber, are practicing for their holiday concert on December 15th. One of the songs that they will sing is ‘Light the Candles All Around the World’ by Teresa Jennings. Wouldn’t it be so amazing if we could light the candles all around the world with photos or drawing in My Maps? If you are interested in this short project, please click on the link!

Great Web Sites with Music for Children

I love music! Over the years I have found some favorite music sites to use with my students.

Dallas Symphony Orchestra: Listen by Composer Click on this link to go to the DSO site.

Musical Notes: A simple game where students identify the notes on a staff. Click on the link to go to this game.

Toy Theater: A wonderful web site with fun games for students to learn about making music. Click on the link to go to the site.

Sphinx Kids: Learn about instuments, composers, and bands in this interactive music web site for children. Click on the link to go to the site.

These are a few of my favorite sites for students. What sites do you recommend?
