A first grader’s Kid Pix image is added using the Transparency option in the Properties tab. Then a screenshot of each image is put into iPhoto. I recorded a separate audio file in quicktime pro and imported it into itunes as an mp3. Finally I created a slideshow and put into YouTube.

Fourth graders had the opportunity to Skype with one of the students in Dean Shareski’s University of Regina’s ecmp355 class. Kristal shared photographs of her horses and told the children what it was like to grow up on a horse ranch. Students enjoyed her visit very much.

One of the places that was part of our Circle Song project was the Claret School in Quezon City. I have kept in contact with technology teacher, Roxan Cosico and his students for four years. They have shared our voyage of the Great American 3 with us and have showed me their amazing Lego robotics projects.
This past weekend, the city of Manila was flooded by a typhoon. Many areas of Manila are still covered with water and many people are homeless. Our Circle Song friend Bren Bataclan is busy painting one of his smile characters that resembles a tarsier monkey to raise money for the victims of the Philippines. This monkey is one of the smallest primates in the world, Bren said. http://www.bataclan.com
I hope that he will be able to sell many paintings to help families, including our friends in Manila, who have been affected by the damage caused by these rainstorms.

I introduced my students to I’ve Got Peace in My Fingers by Susan Salidor. It’s on itunes too!

We will also sing the Circle Song so I gave the students the chance to take a look at the Circle Song project. Classroom teachers and students made pinwheels for peace that they will plant out on the peace garden on Monday. We will have a short service in the afternoon to remember this special day.
